Objective Part

Q.1:Write short answers of the following on your answer sheet in two lines only.                                 (2*10)

i. Define restricted trade. ii. What is the statement of absolute cast advantage theory? iii. Define factor abundance. iii. What is embargo? v. What is offer curve? vi. Define balance of payment. vii Define equilibrium term of trade. viii. Define advelorem tariff.  (ix) Define spot market (x) Define three point arbitrage.

Subjective Part

Q.2:     Define comparative advantage cost theory of international trade.

Q.3:     What is meant by devaluation? Why devaluation is made and how can we judge that devaluation is feasible?

Q.4:     What happens to general market equilibrium when a small country imposes tariff on its imports.

Q.5:     Define external balance schedule, derive it graphically and mathematically.

Q.6:     how fiscal policy plays a role to attain equilibrium in balance of payment, goods market and money market simultaneously, when balance of payment is in surplus and in deficit.

Q.7:     Write a short note on two of the following:

a. Leontief Paradox b. Net capital flow curve.

c. Forward discount    d. Elasticity of offer curve.
